L’Epée 1839, a specialised high end clock manufacturer, have done a pretty good job at catering to the man that has it all. The most recent addition to their luxury ‘machines’ collection is the Starfleet Machine, an intergalactic spaceship-cum-table clock, which displays hours, double retrograde seconds and power reserve indicator.

starfleet-machine-dark-face_previewHours and minutes are displayed on a central dome by hands which follow the dome’s curved contours, and a smaller rotating dome displays remaining energy (it runs for 40 days at full). The double retrograde seconds are shown in the form of turret-mounted laser cannons that start in parallel and cross over each other before rapidly flicking back again.

It will set you back just over $31,000, a measly price to pay for something so awesome, don’t you think? Better hurry it’s a limited run of 175 pieces.
